1950’s French Foosball Table by Finale
This original Finale foosball table from the early 1950s is a statement piece with unmistakable soul. Built in Montbéliard, at the heart of France’s babyfoot culture, it represents the golden age of café table football, when robust materials and elegant design defined the game.
Constructed from solid beech with brushed aluminium trim, the table embodies the craftsmanship and mid-century flair that made Finale one of the most respected names in French foosball. Its Art Deco-inspired pedestal base and bold panel detailing give it a sculptural presence, commanding attention in any setting.
The cabinet has been sympathetically restored to reveal the beechwood’s natural grain, while the ebonised waistband and recessed panels have been polished to a rich lustre. Once operated by 20-centime coins, the mechanism has been retired, this piece is now all about play, not small change.
All components are original, save for two hand-distressed player figures carefully matched to the originals. Beautifully tactile and wonderfully playable, this rare table is steeped in history and ready to delight a new generation of babyfootenthusiasts.
