1967 Beat Time (The Beatles) Pinball Machine
With a production run of fewer than 3,000 units, the Beat Time pinball machine was launched by Williams in 1967 at the height of Beatlemania. This beautifully restored example has just rolled out of our Surrey workshops following a complete strip-down and rebuild to Grade A1 standard.
Designed by Norm Clark with artwork by Jerry Kelley, Beat Time captures the sound, style, and spirit of the swinging sixties. Its vibrant playfield and pop-art cabinet are a love letter to the era — instantly recognisable to any fan of The Beatles and mid-century pinball design.
Gameplay is fast and smooth, with five energetic pop bumpers, a responsive rotating target, and satisfying shot opportunities that reward timing and precision. While it doesn’t feature drop targets, its simplicity is part of the charm — making it a great table for both newcomers and seasoned players alike.
Behind the backglass sits a legacy of true American engineering. Williams Manufacturing, founded in 1943 by Harry Williams, helped define pinball’s golden age with innovations like the tilt mechanism, mechanical reel scoring, and “add-a-ball” features. By the late 1960s, Williams was leading the industry, setting the stage for legendary tables such as The Addams Family decades later.
Restored with care and authenticity by The Games Room Company, one of the UK’s oldest pinball specialists, this Beat Time is a collector’s piece and a fully playable slice of history.
